CMS Events has professional industry experience that has been built over 35 years. With a sound background of operating events and exhibitions, they have used the broad knowledge of marketing, sales, operations and financial control to apply their skills across a range of industries and styles of events. Currently their management includes food and wine, trade exhibitions, seminars, functions, tourism and community events, sporting events, entertainment and more. Their ability and involvement starts from consultation, structured business plans to full event management.

With 35 years in the events industry in Western Australia and experience of over 170 exhibitions and projects, CMS Events offer a strategic approach to development, management and marketing for events of any size.

Richard Campbell

Richard has been involved in the events industry for more than 40 years, starting in 1981 in a part time capacity, then full time since 1987. He created CMS Events in 1993 and founded the original WA Wine & Food Festival. Overall, he has been involved in more than 170 events in the state.

He served on the board of the Perth Convention Bureau for 15 years till 2005, as a Director and Chairman and was awarded with Life Membership in 2006.

Industry Positions & Board Roles include:

Past Director, Chairman, WA Rugby League; Past Director & Chairman, Perth Convention Bureau; Past President, Lakelands Country Club.

Tourism Advisory Consultative Committee, Edith Cowan University; Industry representative, Public Health Act – Events Working Group; and Annual Awards Judge, Tourism Council WA.

Paige Stirton

Paige trained at the Central Institute of Technology in events management. She commenced with CMS in 2016 and has worked through all aspects of the business from Operations to Sales and Marketing. She has since grown in her role as the Event Manager where her ability to deal at all levels for the company and work with major stakeholders in the company projects makes her an invaluable team member.

Jess Saunders

Jess commenced with CMS in 2018 and has taken over the marketing role for the company. She also assists with the operations, chefs, venues and stakeholders of events at all levels, providing a great first impression for both new and existing clients. She has quickly developed a key role for the company. Jess completed a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Event Management at Edith Cowan University.

Catherine Daniels

Cath has been with CMS Events since 2021 and brings a wealth of knowledge in events and marketing. She is now the key exhibitor contact for all events, providing a great first impression for clients. Cath is excited to support the team across the upcoming company projects.

Nicole McNamara

Nicole has recently joined the CMS team and brings her knowledge and expertise as an Event Manager, with more than a decade of experience in orchestrating memorable events within the not-for-profit and local government sectors. Nicole has a Bachelor of Business with a major in Event Management, and is passionate about creating impactful events that forge connections and leave lasting impressions on diverse audiences. Her commitment to crafting unforgettable experiences underscores her dedication to the art of event planning, making her a valuable asset to the CMS team.

Aanya Brennan

Aanya recently started with CMS Events, bringing a wealth of knowledge from her studies at North Metropolitan Tafe, where she completed her Diploma of Event Management. Her exceptional communication skills make her an asset when liaising with stakeholders and organizers within our events. Aanya's diverse background and skills make her a valuable addition to the team.

Jay Pustkuchen

Jay has been involved on the operations side of events for over 10 years, now as a freelance operator where he holds the necessary high-risk work licenses. Jay plays a critical role in the on-site build for events has worked on CMS Events for over 10 years.

HISTORY

CMS Events have been established in the events industry in Western Australia since 1993, specialising in public exhibitions and events, which have also included from time to time, specific client conferences, gala dinners and seminars.

Prior to 1993, director Richard Campbell worked part time in the exhibition industry from 1981 then full time from 1987. His experience provides over 35 years of knowledge and experience taking in the growth of exhibitions and events in Western Australia. This growth has seen a progression from partly regulated events to the modern day where compliance and structured management are critical in the delivery of sustainable projects.

In 2022, CMS Events celebrated their successful involvement with the promotion of wine and food events in the state for 35 years.

In managing most events, the company takes on a full-service role which includes dealing with all key partners, companies, stakeholders, suppliers and the public at all levels.

The necessary relationships and networks have been developed over many years to provide the support of key suppliers to the industry.

Projects involve full reporting and accountability under their management contracts as well as the operation and development of events owned by CMS. Projects managed are generally taken on for multiple years.
