Besides tasting fine wine and enjoying fabulous food, visitors to this year’s festival will have many reasons to “stay for the day”. The festival is designed as a day out, where families and friends can relax and enjoy the privilege that is good food and wine and take in the atmosphere of the region.

Restaurant Challenge & Cooking Seminars

Two of the finalists have already submitted their menus and people attending will be treated to some amazing presentations. The canapés will be offered to the exclusive Café area and the Regional Signature Dishes will be on show on the cooking stage.

Harris River Estate Winery Restaurant

Signature Dish:        Narrogin Lamb Rack

Rosemary speared lamb wrapped in pancetta, pan roasted with Mediterranean vegetables.    Served on parsnip mousseline and pistachio pesto.

 Canapés:     

1.    Harris River farmed marron, chilli mint Jelly and watermelon soaked in Harris River Estate White Port.

2.    Jarrah smoked chicken filled with prosciutto and tapenade on crispy bread

The Singing Chef Restaurant & Catering Company

Signature Dish:        Indian Spiced Blue Eyed Trevalla

With biryani, coconut and curry, pickled carrots

Canapés:

1.    Aristo’s whiskey smoked salmon bagel with Riverdale sheep’s milk feta and herb crème.

2.    Fremantle tea smoked sardine an local crab salad tartlet.

Wine Appreciation Seminars

The Geographe Vignerons Association recently staged their annual Wine Awards which saw some stunning winners.

The public will be treated as the major wine makers will be on hand to talk, swirl and sip their way through the best wines from the region.

Staged at 1.00pm and 3.00pm, the wine education and tasting sessions will be a hit.

Win a Weekend at the new Mantra Bunbury Hotel

As a major sponsor of this year’s festival, Mantra Bunbury Hotel are offering a prize of a weekend for two staying at the new landmark property for the city.

All visitors attending will go into the draw to win.

Entertainment

Sitting back on a lazy Sunday afternoon is the theme. Acoustic covers will play through the early part of the day, with jazz as the main course. Plenty of seating will be available to friends to relax and enjoy.

Families

The event is serious about fun. Children’s activities will be on hand to keep the little ones amused.
